My five favourite pets

Pets are some of the greatest things in life that one can have. One can have all types of pets from dogs all the way to cats, rats, snakes, raccoons, etc. Yet, irrespective of what type of pets i have, I always make sure that i love them and take good care of them. There are many places that do not treat their animals the correct way. I always make sure that my animals have a couple things so that they can live a good life. Those two things are leadership and affection. if you provide your pet with these two things then your pet will absolutely love you for it.

Pets really only live in the moment and they will gladly forget the past if they are treated right in the present. That is why there are animals that have been abused and can then to through rehab to the point of being adopted to a family that will love them. Pets can be a source of great joy to everyone and most people want to have a pet. Regarding the choice of pet’s people’s taste vary from each other. I prefer my pets to be very cute and cool while some others may opt for an elephant. Again there are some people who even like to have a snake as a pet. But there are also certain people who though, wish to have a pet in their homes, but do not have enough time or resources to look after a pet.

Goldfish – This is actually my first pet and goldfishes can be an unending source of joy to its owner. They are affectionate and it is very easy to fall in love with these splendid creatures of nature. A goldfish was a perfect pet for me as i had no prior experience of owning a pet. Caring for a goldfish is also a very easy and hassle free task compared to other pets. Here i do not require training the pet, do not need to go for a walk with the pet, no bathing, in fact, no extra work actually.  I just ensure that the bowel is clean enough and also need to offer food regularly. Gradually I started feeling a bond growing between the two of us and watching a goldfish playing before your eyes can be relaxing a real source of joy.

Starting a new job at 50

Starting a new job at the grand old age of 50, wow this could be interesting having worked all my life and now having to find a new job and a new career actually is going to be very interesting. Unfortunately or fortunately I was made redundant from my now previous occupation, which was quite a shock at the time but maybe a blessing in disguise.

I now have a chance to make a new life and new career and basically I knew everything with my new job. It was quite a shock when I was made redundant, having been at the company for over 30 years. The whole process and the whole thing makes you feel a little worthless, and useless and makes you consider all you’ve done for the company over a period of time, makes you consider it in a different light.

It basically makes you think what is it worth it, I put in 30 years of my life for this company and I get rid of me. Even though sometimes when this happens the company get rid of you for a good reason maybe you’ve done your thing. You are now surplus to requirements which is horrible to hear that is basically what it is.

So the best idea is to get over it, because you have no option really if you need to work and I do they just need to get over the issue and the situation move on, and get a new job. Usually in this situation when you’re made redundant, there is a financial incentive for you to leave the company. Which is cool because it gives you a start, and some money to put behind you to help you over the period from when you left your job to getting a new job.

It is also, well can be also a good start in your life I restart basically, something if you grasp with both hands in a positive way could be fantastic for you and life changing. Actually it is like changing because they have just change your life, but if you do it and handed it in a positive way and take it forwards it will be life changing for a good reason not a bad reason.

So embrace the change, get over yourself, get over the issue, get over the situation and make a new life for yourself, and you career they can do something different in, something exciting, something sexy maybe :-).

I know it’s easier said than done but right now you have no option actually it’s me I am talking about and I have no option.

Emma’s world

Here are some thoughts I went to visit a friend yesterday as she was very cross with me. When I arrived she was pleasant and welcoming but she soon found and opening to be very angry with me. I was very taken aback but at the same time I was apologetic to her understanding of the situation. The question I ask myself now is do I want to remain in a friendship that is so tenuous. I will be questioning all I say and do in the future. 

Things are still fresh in my mind but at the moment I feel as if I can’t cope with any hassle. That means for me I do nothing and life will go on just as it had before. I feel very sorry about all this as she was a really good friend and did lots for me but I don’t understand where all this anger comes from.

Unfortunately these events don’t usually change your life and things go on this as I did before. I will cope with things and life will go on without her. The things she said have made me look at myself and see where I fell short and what changes I can make in the future. Being the person I am I take everything personally but I am trying to stand back from the situation and detach myself from It.

I always think it is a shame when people fall out especially when it’s not of your wanting. I will try in the future to be a better friend to people. Perhaps she was justified in what she said but the time and place wasn’t right for me. Having slept on it I feel I don’t want to have this hanging behind me and it clouding any future friendship. I’m very grateful for all she has done for me but at the same time I don’t feel as if I don’t want to have a friendship that is so volatile.

Glazing repairs

Hello, just thought I would let you know, I had a really good experience with a local glass repair firm, now you might think this isn’t anything to blog about but when, you are standing in your conservatory, with the wind blowing and the rain pouring down, your head is in a different place. I had branches of a big tree, crashing down on my conservatory window and eventually 2 panes of glass shattered.

I was at my wits end with water pouring in and the storm still raging outside, I managed to get hold of a 24 hour glazing firm, based locally. He cam round promptly and assessed the situation. The storm started to subside and my brother showed up as well as I had give him a call to tell him about the overhanging tree. He got a saw and a ladder from a shed and cut down the over hanging branches.
